FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Our company uses real estate agencies for “lifestyle” needs and pre-decision tours. Will they overlap?
Real estate professionals are bound by the Fair Housing Act and prohibited from going beyond neutral discussion in matters of lifestyle. STLT is a direct, fee-only service; neither distracted, compensated nor conflicted by commission sales. Our philosophy is that pre-decision tours and pre-arrival house tours are best applied separately.
Will this conflict with third party relocation resources?
Each third party contract is different. But STLT is not intended to replace existing mobility services. Rather, it most often acts as a supplement to services concurrently offered in moving logistics, housing, recruiting, outplacement etc.
Our company has dedicated community, inclusion, wellness and diversity programs. Will these overlap?
Clients continue to provide their own access to company activities and community events alongside co-workers. STLT programs enhance these efforts by offering additional outlets for personnel (and/or their families) to meet peers outside the office as well.
How does STLT get paid?
STLT is paid directly by employers via estimated and agreed upon hourly contracts for all services — per person or project.
Is there a pilot program?
Employers simply purchase time-blocks for individual programs. (STLT does, however, recommend spreading the service to a broad cross-section of personnel or cases where possible).
How do you track related metrics and outcomes?
Given its mission in the realm of personal guidance and privacy, STLT remains a client focused service (not a product or analytics platform). Soft analytics and feedback are provided by request via in-depth surveys completed on a volunteer basis. Individual program recipients may too share their own results and benefits with employers internally, per their interest and/or comfort level.
How are Peer hosts selected and found?
We take seriously those to whom we entrust incoming executives and families. Discovered through referral, community outreach and vetted connections, each Peer Host volunteer applies and undergoes a selection process at the discretion of STLT leadership.
Can we advise individuals purchase STLT programs on their own?
STLT programs are no longer offered to the retail marketplace outside employer provided frameworks.
